Fever

Over the weekend, my little niece Aveline was hospitalised. I discovered her fever when I carried her on Friday evening and we promptly sent her off to the Doctors. The family Dr quickly ordered her to KKH as she was too young and could not be put on medication.

My sis was a nervous wreck... she was crying when she called to tell me the family Dr ordered them to the hospital... and was crying when she called to tell me when the Dr at the hospital told them she's gonna be hospitalised for observation....goodness me, this are bits of parenting that I'd gladly miss out...

Anyway, the rest is history and amidst the frenzy of taking over "shifts" at the hospital, I even forgot my dinner date w Big Boobs and Mosquito, my ex-coll. Sorry girls... :P

I told hubby that this will be part of parenting when our turn comes. But in retrospect, I never gave my mum such problem...According to my mum, I've been a good baby....except for the occassional screams when my diapers were wet, I'm been otherwise, healthy. I hope I get good karma when my baby/ies come/s along. (yes, I'm still hoping for twins...haha... everything becomes "double" but there's only one time pain, I hope)....
